But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D (2013) - 3D Poster

Texas Chainsaw 3D continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family – or so they thought.
Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion’s dank cellars…

Justice League/Transformers Crossover That Never Happened

Imagine if Chris Ryall and Phil Jiminez had been able to pull off their idea: a crossover story that would combine the Transformers along with DC's greatest heroes, including recruiting Optimus Prime for the Green Lantern Corp.

It never happened, though, since it was proposed around the same time that the New 52 was being developed. Still, there's always hope that maybe it'll happen in future! But to see what might have been, you can go to Phil's Facebook page to see his artwork.

Man Killed In Sasquatch Hoax

NBC Montana brings us the story of a man named Randy Lee Tenley was killed when two cars ran him over while he was attempting to create a Sasquatch sighting hoax.
“He probably would not have been very easy to see at all,” said Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider.
Another car swerved, and a third car, troopers say driven by a 17-year old Somers girl, ran him over.
“It appears the pedestrian was well into the driving lane,” said Schneider. Officials closed Highway 93 for two hours on Sunday night, as firefighters directed traffic and officers investigated. What they found is troubling.
According to his companions, he was out there in the ghillie suit attempting to incite a sighting of Bigfoot, to make people think they had seen a Sasquatch."
Here's a photo of a ghillie suit.

Keaton joins previously announced Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson and Abbie Cornish in the Jose Padilha-directed film.

Justice League Film Will Precede A Batman Reboot

The people at Batman On Film bring us this nugget of news:
It’s looking as a live-action JUSTICE LEAGUE film -- the one currently being penned by Will Beall for Warner Bros. -- just might be the studio’s first big, DC Comics-based tent pole movie after 2013’s MAN OF STEEL. This JL film would, possibly, hit theaters Summer 2015. So, exactly WHAT does this have to do with BATMAN REBOOTED? Read on…
Said reboot will come after the JL film, not before. Therefore, the new cinematic Batman will be introduced in the JL film as opposed to a solo film. This would, according to my industry "FOBOF," assure the new Batman film series will be part of a "DC Cinematic Universe."
Keep in mind that this is based on industry scuttlebutt, so take it with a grain of salt. However, if indeed true (And this FOBOF is solid as they come, trust me!) this is not good news for the solo Batman franchise in my opinion. I’d like the next director of the rebooted cinematic Batman to have more creative control over the character -- something that’s not likely to happen of this scenario plays out.
I have some very strong opinions about this that I shall reserve for an op-ed piece in the near future.

S.H.I.E.L.D. (TV)

Deadline provides us confirmation that ABC has given the green light for Joss Whedon to produce a pilot for his new series.
ABC has ordered a pilot for S.H.I.E.L.D, a live-action series from The Avengers writer-director Joss Whedon, Marvel TV and ABC Studios. The project is based on Marvel’s peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D (which stands for Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate or Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) found in both the Marvel comic book and feature film universes, including the blockbuster 2012 movieThe Avengers, in which S.H.I.E.L.D director Nick Fury, recruits Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, and Thor to stop Thor’s adoptive brother Loki from subjugating Earth.
S.H.I.E.L.D. will be written by Whedon and frequent collaborators, his brother Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. Joss Whedon also is set to direct the pilot, schedule permitting. Production on the pilot, which marks the first live-action Marvel TV project to get a green light, will start immediately. Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Tancharoen executive produce with Jeffrey Bell and Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb.

Lake Placid: The Final Chapter (2012) - Air Date

The film stars Elisabeth Rohm and Robert Englund.
Horror legend Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise) will star as the latest member of the “Bickerman family” in the Original Movie Lake Placid: The Final Chapter, premiering Saturday, September 29th, at 9PM (ET/PT) on “The Most Dangerous Night on Television.”
Following Betty White, Cloris Leachman, and Colin Ferguson -- who were all part of the Bickerman clan in previous Lake Placid movies -- Englund will play Jim Bickerman, a poacher looking to score a big break on hides and eggs from those rare crocs in Black Lake.
In Lake Placid: The Final Chapter, which will co-star Elisabeth Rohm ("Law and Order") and Yancy Butler (Kick-Ass), attempts to contain the giant crocs fail, and now it's up to the new Sheriff (Rohm) to stop the latest rampage.

The Avengers (2012) - Alternate Opening

The movie hits DVD and Bluray on 25 September.

Total Recall (2012) - Paul Verhoeven's Opinion

MoveLine has an interview with Verhoeven, who directed the original film. And he had the following to say about the remake, which opened earlier in August:
"Arnold being there made the movie a little light, and I think that’s very important for these Philip Dick stories," he said. "I think if it would have been done in a straight way, I’m not so sure that it would have worked – at least, not at that time. And recently [in the Total Recall remake], it did not. I get to say that because the producer of the new one said that this was cheesy or something. And Colin Farrell called it in an interview ‘kitschy.’ So I dare to say that his version was not good."
Read the rest of the interview for more on what Verhoeven had to say.

You Had Me At "Joker Meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre"!

Bleeding Cool has the following quote from Greg Capullo, who works with Scott Snyder on "Batman":
Greg Capullo discussed what is coming up for Year Two in Batman as ‘Joker meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre’. The Joker has stolen his face back from the Gotham PD and attached it back on in a ‘makeshift manner’. The storyline will include the Joker targeting and hunting down the members of the Bat Family because he thinks they make Batman weak. Joker will make minor crossovers into other titles during the story but the main storyline will be contained in Batman.
It was also indirectly stated that Joker knows Batman’s identity as Alfred was on the list of hunted bat family members.
It was one hell of a way to start off the New 52 Batman with Joker removing his own face. And I can't wait to see what Snyder and Capullo have in store for us in future!
