And The Iron Man 3 Villain Is...
ComicBook.com had the following to say after filming wrapped up in North Carolina this week:
Iron Man 3 filmed a scene at the Cape Fear Club in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina earlier today. The film’s security had things pretty well barricaded up so it was impossible to get any photos of the filming inside. Those that did get a glimpse inside reported seeing extras dressed in military uniforms and suits. The extras in suits were described as looking like Secret Service men.
While talking to some Wilmington locals, we had one source involved with the production tell us that Mandarin was definitely the villain. He said Mandarin had a set of twins that did most of his dirty work for him. Another source who had visited EUE/Screen Gems Studios told us that the sets they were building included Chinese storefronts.
Probably, the biggest piece of information we learned, which we reported earlier is that part of the story for Iron Man 3 will be set in Miami, Florida. A source close to the production revealed that he had seen vehicles emblazoned with logos for the city of Miami and Miami Police Department being unloaded on one of the sets.So there you have it! And it should tie the story back to the first film since Mandarin has the ten rings, or at least may be seeking them out.

Super Hero Hype has an article about the release dates for Marvel Entertainment's animated series, Blade and Wolverine. The DVDs will hit store shelves on 31 July.
Blade will be voiced by Harold Perrinau, who fans of Lost will remember as Michael. The Wolverine feature will start Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter on Heroes.

Zydeco (2012) - Coming To DVD
We just received this email from Stormfront Entertainment about their film, Zydeco:
LEESVILLE LA and SEOUL S. KOREA February 22, 2012—Stormfront Entertainment (SFE) has released their DVD of their first horror movie “Zydeco” for online distribution through the SFE website, currently located in Seoul S. Korea. “Zydeco” is inspired by the famous “Bender Family”, a Kansas family who used their local business as a front to lure in patrons to kill. The film watches as two young ladies Erin (Courtney Shay Young) and Rae (LaTasha Williams) get lost in Central Louisiana and find themselves directed to a local voodoo shop in which they are soon chased by the “Zydeco Killer” (Elgin Foster). As a sub-plot filmed in Yongsan, Seoul, Dan Smith (Miles Meili) hires a detective (Liam Andrews) to find his missing sister Donna (Diana Nelson) who was last seen in the same Louisiana town as Erin and Rae.
The film is led by a strong cast of local talent to include Courtney Shay Young (Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, Year One, Pulse 2), LaTasha Williams (Treme), as well as newcomers Elgin Foster, William Hartley as Mr. Rawlins, and Rhonda Schaubert as Mrs. Bouidreaux.
This accomplished ensemble has been assembled under first time director David Noble and Director of Photography Fred Taulbee, Jr. (Gothic Vampires from Hell). Sunny Park was Executive Producer for the project. The movie began pre-production in 2008, conducted principle photography in the winter 2010, and was released in February 2012 through www.stormfrontentertainment.com. Additional online distribution will be available through Filmbaby.com later this month, and SFE is working on online streaming through Netflix at this time.

Lifetime Developing "Clarice"
Lifetime is developing a series based on the characters from Thomas Harris's novels. Specifically, about Clarice Starling, the main protagonist from the book "Silence Of The Lambs". The series will focus on Starling's career after her graduation from the FBI academy. No casting news or air dates are mentioned.
At the same time, NBC is developing a series based on Hannibal Lecter's "career" as well. No word of whether there will be any crossovers between the two series.

"Defiance" is a cross-platform series coming to Syfy.
What does that mean? you ask.
It means it's a television series as well as a video game. The show description says:

It's not "Mansquito", which was reviewed back in episode 100, based on the title. The synopsis says something different:
Jim Crawley is having a really bad day. He gets fired from his job at the nuclear power plant, his car is impounded, and he discovers his wife having an affair. To make matters worse, Jim gets himself abducted by an evil scientist looking to conduct human testing for a vaccine against a deadly mosquito borne virus spreading across the planet. It turns out that years of exposure to nuclear radiation and rabid mosquito DNA don't mix very well, and Jim transforms into a half-man/half-mosquito, hellbent on revenge. First Glimpse Of The CW''s "Arrow"
Here's your first look at the Oliver Queen (played by Stephen Arnell) in the CW's adaptation of the Green Arrow character. From the official description:
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. The Collapsed (2011) - New Stills And DVD Details
Back in episode 114 I reviewed "The Collapsed", an awesome post-apocalyptic film that got a definite buy rating. The film will hit shelves on 05 June, and you can pre-order it at Amazon. From the press release:

"Green Lantern: The Animated Series" Season 1 Coming To DVD.
Part 1 of the series is coming to DVD on 28 August. The announcement reads:
Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps embark on their latest intergalactic missions as Warner Home Video (WHV) releases Green Lantern: The Animated Series — Rise of the Red Lanterns (Season 1 Part 1) on DVD. Based on the adventures of the popular DC Comics super hero, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, currently part of Cartoon Network’s DC Nation programming block (Saturdays at 10 a.m. ET/PT), is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and animation legend Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series; DC Universe Animated Original Movies). The two-disc DVD set featuring the first 13 episodes of the CG-animated action series will be available on August 28, 2012 for $19.97 SRP.
