Another title I'm only just starting to read, I'm not sure I can do the story justice when jumping into the middle of the story. But I'll give it a try.
There are two stories going on: one contemporary and one in the late 19th century. Both involve supernatural creatures and a struggle for control. The contemporary story I couldn't quite discern from a single issue, but the one set in the past feels very straight forward.
It's a political struggle, set in Austria, between a werewolf couple, Heath and Catherine, and what appears to be a vampire named Abraham. The vampire talks of how to kill the lycanthropes and the couple, after he leaves, discuss how they will "chew his bones together".
Ah, the family that slaughters together...
This feels like a very big picture story, one for which I'm going to need to get back issues. Or a trade paperback, which can be found here.
